“We will not use our skills as technologists to compromise core government systems, jeopardize Americans’ sensitive data, or dismantle critical public services," the group of 21 employees said in a letter addressed to White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The workers reportedly includes product managers, engineers, and data scientists.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt dismissed the concerns, suggesting that protests and legal actions would not deter President Trump from fulfilling his commitment to enhance the efficiency and accountability of the federal government.
“Anyone who thinks protests, lawsuits, and lawfare will deter President Trump must have been sleeping under a rock for the past several years,” Leavitt stated. “President Trump will not be deterred from delivering on the promises he made to make our federal government more efficient and more accountable to the hardworking American taxpayers.”
